Payrolling of benefits

Has anybody in the past couple of years migrating to payrolling of benefits.

- How did you manage the communications / support for employees?
- How did you manage the transition tax year?

Hi Ashley. We've been payrolling PMI and Cars for 6 years so happy to share our approach and the comms we used. If you want to e-mail me at ian.h.davis@directlinegroup.co.uk I can send the stuff over but happy to chat through as well. Ian

Hello, yes we moved to payrolling benefits in the 2021-2022 tax year.
We announced the change on our intranet (including many FAQs) so all employees could see and emailed those already using the taxable benefits.
The transition was fairly simple as our benefits renew on 1 May and we are a small firm, so April benefits payrolled at the old value per month, the previous amounts would be listed on a P11d for 2020 2021. New monthly values used from May onwards.
I watched a webinar from .Gov on patrolling benefits and found it helpful.
