Hi, does anyone provide an allowance - or other some other form of recognition - for defined language skills? We have a need for Mandarin speakers in certain of our stores and I am exploring options as to how this could be reflected in pay. Hi Trina. We have a requirement for foreign language skills within our Travel Insurance team and do pay an allowance through payroll.

We recently discussed language premiums in our Poland shared services for a few sought after languages in Wroclaw. We came to the conclusion that we wouldnt split out languages as a premium payment but we would consider paying a higher salary if required.
