IT standby/disturbance allowance

Hi, We are reviewing how we compensate our IT teams who are required to be 'on-call'. We currently pay an hourly rate for the amount of hours they are required to be on-call (and then overtime for actual call outs) but I am just looking at alternatives ie flat rate payment per shift / annual allowance etc.

Can let me know how you go about paying for on-call?
