Hi all,
We're implementing a salary sacrifice car scheme so employees can take advantage of the BiK savings currently applied to electric and hybrid vehicles.
As a partnership with hundreds of self-employed partners at the most senior level of our firm, I would like to come up with something for them to also take advantage of the tax savings. My first thought was some kind of company car arrangement which we currently do not have, but I'm not sure whether this would be suitable.
What are my options?
Thanks in advance!
Keen to chat too as I have heard varying opinions on the pros and cons of a salary sacrifice arrangement for company cars. Cannot comment on the self-employed part but heard good things about private leases and the options available there.
Hi, sorry I can't help on the self employed part but can you share what provider you have chosen? I'm looking into this for a new voluntary benefit and keen to hear more about suppliers.
thanks
Fiona
Hi Adam. If the Partners are truly self employed then I don't think you can put a tax advantageous scheme in place for them as they are not employed and not receiving a salary from the organisation. The only option is to offer personal leasing/affinity schemes but they can already go to the open market to get a car via that route. Ian
