Hi all,
I’m wondering how other organisations are progressing in terms of future ways of working that they could share with me please? We are currently proposing to go down the Hybrid route and asking employees to individually agree to this new way of working but our Leadership Team have asked us to do some up-to-date research to see what others are doing. I'm particularly interested in whether you intend to make changes to employee contracts to make them either permanent homeworkers or Hybrid workers and by what method (e.g. individual consultation/voluntary adoption, collective consultation or D&R) and whether you have made a decision to pay expenses/a WFH allowance and or Business Travel? If you could also share the rates that would be most helpful. Thanks very much, Lynn
Hi, same as others. Hybrid approach, vast majority no change to contract and will work from office small number of days a week/month for collaboration only or if their home environment does not support WFH. Small number may change contract where never need to come in. Expenses can't be claimed moving forward apart from travel to meetings/other locations etc
Thank you Janet-can you please indicated the numbers of employees that are impacted by this Hybrid model please? Thanks
Hi Lynn. I work for an international consulting/ outsourcing business and we are introducing a hybrid model. This will involve employees being based at home, but allocated a named office location, where they will work for a designated number of days (in agreement with their manager). No reimbursement for travel will be paid to the designated office, but travel can be expensed to other locations as per usual expense policy. Most business units are not consulting, as such, but managers are briefing teams and giving individuals access to 1:1s where requested with letters issued to all to confirm change to Ts&Cs. Unionised BUs are undertaking more formal process of consultation.
Thanks Iain-can you tell me which sector you are in please and the numbers impacted? Thanks
