Incentivising Drivers

With driver shortage being a national problem in the UK, I'm interested to hear from anyone who has an opinion as to how this integral role of any supply chain can be incentivised?

Is anyone currently using a bonus scheme? If so, what performance measures are you using and what value of bonus?

Is cash king or have you found other forms of recognition more effective, such as vouchers for a particular venue, retailer or outlet?

We don't currently offer any specific incentives for our driver populations other than a generous salary and the usual benefits which all other colleagues within the business are entitled. Like you, we are currently thinking about what we can do differently in terms of attraction and retention and are still in the exploratory stage. Offering some sort of cash incentive feels like a popular option at the moment.
