It sounds like your colleagues will receive the extra day off - as per Gov Bank Holidays.
But that because of Office openings then the employee chooses when to use some of their Gov Bank Holiday Leave?
For many organisations it will simply be a case of all UK employees being on annual leave on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd June, but with other Global employees working those days as normal to their calendar.
we have a mix of fixed and floating days so this is not automatic for us (i.e. offices are closed on 5 public holidays and open on others, with people given 4 floating days they can use on those days or at other times)
