We are starting to roll out electric vans for our field technicians and looking into policies around charging, installation of charging points, private use of charging pods and everything else we can think of. Anyone out there that has been through this already and has a policy they are able to share pls?
Not been through it - but in relation to public charging points.
There was a challenge run between Tesla and non-Tesla EVs
- although the vehicles had similar mileage capabilities the access to, up-to-date information for Tesla was far superior.
I realise for AW usage of Teslas is unlikely - so any decision to go EV will need to factor in the actual reliability that charging points are operational and not already occupied.
Tesla is likely to announce tie-ups with other manufacturers to share their network - however - it is not known when this will be a reality in the real world.
We are seeking to pay for the home charger and installation at office/depot locations - on the basis the fleet vehilces are not designated to any individual.
This might be something you could consider.
Sadly we have not completed our EV fleet transition and we only have vehicles for sales team, as we operate in the technology space with few tangible products.
