Wellbeing benefit

We currently have a traditional gym benefit that allows employees the ability to claim back a certain value / % of gym membership costs.

In light of the post covid world, the arrangement feels a little old fashioned and i'm looking to introduce a more "wellbeing" focused benefit to replace the current offering.

This will allow employees to claim back contributions towards a wide range of club or subscription that is showing commitment to a health and wellbeing.

It would be good to understand how other organisations have approached such a type of benefit change / introduction.

We provide employees with an annual taxable amount towards the cost of their health and fitness club memberships. This covers gym membership but other activities such as swimming, yoga, golf.

Hi- we use Heka, which has excellent take up with our UK team

We use TWIC to provide employees a monthly Flex Fund allowance, which can be used to claim back anything we outline in the policy and it is taxed via payroll. We added Gym, Nutrition, Sports Equipment, Baby items, pet supplies, phone bills and lots of other items connected to wellbeing and is applicable to our global population - it has gone down well with employees who aren't after paid gym membership.
