We are exploring the introduction of an electric vehicle salary sacrifice car scheme as a result of strong feedback from employee groups. I've read the previous posts on EVSS which have been really helpful, so thanks to anyone who has shared their experiences.
Employees are really keen but I have a concern that uptake might not be as high as various providers are quoting which is anywhere from 8% to 50% uptake. Not being able to judge uptake is also impacting the financial modelling especially if uptake is significantly lower or higher than anticipated.
If you have a EVSS scheme I'd be interested to learn what your actual utilisation has been.
Also if you've got any learnings that you can share that would be amazing. Thanks in advance,

We launched in May 2021. We have 2% with a salsac EV with more on order.
Hi Deeah. We launched our scheme in Aug 2021. Although interest was high at first, this didn't translate into orders (cost and lead time being decisive factors - we are still waiting on some vehicles ordered in late 2021). Overall take-up has been around 1.4%
Hi Deenah ours is just under 4% taking into account cars delivered, on order etc. We have found this to be a slow burn at first as people naturally wait for others to go first and also get to the end with their existing cars (end of lease, MOT failures etc). We had some enthusiastic advocacy from early adopters which helped move things along. We also found we were asked the same questions again and again about tax etc so we circulated some worked examples which helped. We have only just started actively pushing this benefit in its own right so the takeup could increase further, especially as charging stations are starting to appear on our various sites.
