I previously worked for a company with an office in South Africa. There aren't really any government provided benefits at all so you need to look at the whole spectrum, but of most importance are medical insurance and pension plan. Most companies offer life cover and a certain amount of income protection in the event of longer term illness. You're more than welcome to reach out to me if you need any further information.
